Okay...the deal is set. Do you remember where 24 Hour Fitness was before it moved to Silver Lake? It was across Evergreen Way from Izzy's and IHOP at the west end of Everett Mall Way. Well that building is now Epicenter Fitness and the new home of Family Karate Center. For the same price they were paying, the students of FKC will now get the same classes at the same times and same days, except they will also get the full use as full members of Epicenter Fitness. We will be using the aerobics room which has a hard wood floor. It is a double wide racket ball court that has solid walls to the basketball court except for the glass entry door. It has a lot of mirrors and aerobic equipment like individual mats for use during crunches and situps, giant balls for stretching, and balance balls for balance and core development. Age 13 and over are free to use the club. Under 13 has to have adult supervision...like a parent.
The club has state of the art equipment and much more from its $2 million dollar renovation. Plenty of parking and open a wide range of hours for fitness training and practice. All students must initially register at the front desk Wednewday through Sunday. Ask for Jeremy Adams. He is the co-manager and knows what is going on. Tell him you are FKC. The payment method will be an automatic monthly charge to your credit card, or your checking account if you do not have a credit card. Then you will check in at the front desk each time you arrive, instead of stamping you attendance card. An automatic tally of your attendance will be maintained. You will have a membership card that will pass under the beam of light. Your card will be read and your are automatically recorded.
